Growing grapes is a very rewarding hobby whether you are growing them for eating or making wine. Patience is something you will need as most vines will not really come into production for three or four years.

Grapes can be grown quite eaily from cuttings, this of course assumes that you have a vine to take the cuttings from. If you do not have a donor vine, young vines can be bought quite cheaply.

- Do you want grapes to eat, or grapes to make wine.
- Do you need vines for growing outside or in a greenhouse.
- Do you need a more cold resilient vine, because of you location.

If you buy potted vines these can be planted any time of the year, as long as the ground isnt frozen.
