Growing tomatoes can be a very rewarding pastime, like other vegatables and fruit, picking your for a meal you are preparing is wonderful.
Tomatoes are easy to grow from seed or from pre-potted examples. The choice of which to go for depends on the space and time you have to attend to the plants. A greenhouse is of course udefull but not mandatory for tomatoes, they can be used to grow tomatoes from seed to fruit or can be used to germinate and then move them outside.
Depending on your space available, you can germinate tomatoe seeds in a pot on a windowcill and then pot them on into larger pots either in a conservatory or into a warm spot in the garden or balcony.
The trick with germinating the seeds is to keep them at about 21c.
